Intertechnik Bituminous soundproofing sheet – BITUMEX™/FG4

The BITUMEX™/FG4 bituminous soundproofing sheet from Intertechnik is a high-performance solution for reducing cabinet resonance and unwanted vibrations in your speaker builds. Designed specifically for speaker attenuation, this flexible, self-adhesive sheet provides an effective means of damping panel vibrations, ensuring cleaner, more accurate sound reproduction. Ideal for DIY audio enthusiasts and professional builders alike, it is perfect for lining the internal surfaces of loudspeaker enclosures, subwoofer boxes, or any acoustic cabinet where structural resonance compromises audio clarity. Its bituminous composition offers excellent mass-loading properties, converting vibrational energy into low-level heat rather than allowing it to colour the sound. The sheet is easy to cut and apply, adhering firmly to MDF, plywood, or metal surfaces without the need for additional adhesives. With a thickness optimised for effective damping without adding excessive weight, the BITUMEX™/FG4 delivers consistent performance across a wide frequency range. Whether you are refining a high-fidelity stereo pair or constructing a robust PA system, this material helps eliminate unwanted ringing and flutter echoes, allowing your drivers to perform at their best. Trust Intertechnik’s engineering to bring professional-grade acoustic control to your next project.
