Intertechnik Sound-absorbing material – MUHWOLLE/1000

The Intertechnik MUHWOLLE/1000 sound-absorbing material is a high-performance solution designed to enhance the acoustic integrity of your loudspeaker cabinets. This open-cell melamine foam effectively reduces unwanted cabinet resonances and tames midrange reflections, ensuring that your speaker build delivers a cleaner, more accurate sound. Ideal for both DIY enthusiasts and professional audio engineers, it is particularly suited for use in sealed and ported enclosures where internal standing waves can colour the audio output. By lining the interior walls of your speaker cabinet with this material, you can significantly improve transient response and overall clarity, making it an essential component for high-fidelity audio projects. The MUHWOLLE/1000 features a broadband absorption profile, meaning it performs consistently across a wide frequency range, from lower midrange to higher treble. Its lightweight, porous structure allows sound waves to penetrate and dissipate energy as heat, rather than reflecting back through the driver. This melamine foam is also flame-retardant and easy to cut to size, offering a practical and durable solution for custom enclosures. Whether you are building a new pair of bookshelf speakers or upgrading an existing system, this sound-absorbing material provides a cost-effective way to achieve professional-grade results.
